Angel Birthday Cake. A store-bought angel food cake is a magical and versatile thing. In a large clean bowl, whip egg whites with a pinch of salt until foamy.
Use a knife to gently cut through the batter and remove some of the larger air bubbles. Add the cake flour and salt to the food processor. I've seen this happen with recipes that tell you to grease and flour, as well as using baking spray (with flour), both with and without parchment paper too.
Cut through the batter with a knife to remove air pockets.
It was a hit at the party and tasted amazing as well.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the egg whites, salt, and extract. It's happened in different size and shape pans as well. Pour the batter into an ungreased angel food cake pan.
